About the player
Jairo Beerens joined PSV's academy as a boy of ten. He signed his first professional contract in July 2024, at fifteen, tying himself to PSV until the summer of 2027. He made his debut for Jong PSV in Eerste Divisie football on 11 August 2025 against Emmen, a match PSV won 3-1, coming off the bench in the second half and playing 31 minutes.
In October 2024, playing for the Dutch under-17s in European Championship qualifying, he scored a hat-trick in a 6-0 win over the Faroe Islands, then added another goal four days later against Albania. By March 2025, defeats to Serbia, Portugal and Hungary left the side bottom of their group and out of the elite round.
He scored three goals in eight appearances for PSV's under-19 side in 2024/25, a season in which he also featured in the UEFA Youth League. Since then he has moved up to the under-18 national team, adding a further goal in five appearances. The 2025/26 season has marked his first real foothold in Jong PSV's squad, with seven appearances so far as an attacking midfielder.
