Jefferson Collazos Viveros

The goal that opened the door for Jefferson Collazos Viveros was scored in Equatorial Guinea. In 2013, after a year without a club, he signed for The Panthers FC and scored in the final of the Copa Guinea Ecuatorial as the side took the trophy — an unlikely first line for a forward from Padilla, in Cauca.

He had learnt the game at home under coach Walter Aristizábal, in Difutbol youth tournaments, and did enough there to draw interest from Atlético Nacional and América de Cali. He was registered with América's professional squad but never played an official match for the first team.

Peru is where the record thickens. He won the Segunda División with Academia Cantolao in 2016 and finished top scorer of the Torneo de Verano the following year with eight goals. With Deportivo Binacional he won Liga 1 in 2019, and in 2020 he added the Supercopa Peruana with Atlético Grau. Before that came Jaguares de Córdoba, where he won the Categoría Primera B in 2014, and a season in Mexico with Tampico Madero.

His contract at Alianza Petrolera was terminated. He joined Real Potosí in Bolivia and left over problems adapting to the altitude. He signed at Cusco FC and the deal was rescinded in March. The year ended better abroad: two goals for Al Quwa Al Jawiya in the AFC Champions League.

Santos FC in Peru, CD FAS in El Salvador, Real Sociedad in Honduras, Inter de Barinas in Venezuela, Deportivo Coopsol — most of those switches free transfers or the end of a contract cut short. He joined UCV Moquegua in August 2024. He has never been capped by Colombia's senior side.
