Jovan Šljivić

The Guardian put Jovan Šljivić on its "Next Generation 2022" list of the best young players in world football. Sent to Grafičar under a dual registration arrangement in 2022–23, he played 21 matches in the Serbian First League and scored five goals.

He came up through the Crvena zvezda academy and spent 2021 to 2023 in the youth set-up. By June 2026 he had made 36 appearances and scored three goals for the club.

The 2024–25 season brought a league title and the Serbian Cup. In the cup final on 21 May 2025 he came on at half-time. Later that year he moved on loan to OFK Beograd , where he had 21 matches and one goal by May 2025.

His fullest run in a Serbia shirt came at under-17 level: 11 to 12 caps and four goals across 2021 and 2022, including the European Championship finals in Israel, where Serbia reached the semi-finals — their best showing in twenty years. Fourteen under-19 caps and two goals followed between 2022 and 2024, then nine appearances for the under-21s in 2024 and 2025. He has not been called up by the senior national team.
