Jayden Onia Seke

Jayden Onia Seke was fifteen years, three months and eight days old when he walked out for RSCA Futures against Deinze on 16 August 2024. Anderlecht lost 4-1, but the record stood: the youngest professional footballer in Belgian history, ahead of the previous mark held by Jessy Da Silva.

He had joined Anderlecht's Neerpede academy in 2016, arriving from local side KSC Grimbergen, and by May 2024 his progress had already drawn attention beyond Brussels — Ajax, PSV and Lille were all reported to have made concrete enquiries. Anderlecht moved to secure him that August with his first professional contract, running to 2027.

Since the debut, his path has run mostly through the Challenger Pro League with RSCA Futures rather than the first team. Involvement was limited at first — a single appearance in his debut season — before increasing through the following campaign, where he featured regularly and picked up goal contributions along the way.

His breakthrough with the senior side came in continental competition. On 23 July 2026, under coach Vitor Bruno, he started in a Europa League qualifier against Hammarby, and went on to make further appearances in the competition through the qualifying rounds against PAOK, without yet scoring or assisting at that level. Domestic league minutes have not followed at the same pace — he was named among the substitutes for Jupiler Pro League fixtures against Beveren and RAAL La Louvière but did not get on the pitch.

At youth international level, his form has been more decisive. As captain of Belgium's under-16s and a regular scorer for the under-15s, he built toward a strong run with the under-17s, scoring against France in the semi-final of the 2026 European Championship as Belgium reached the final, where they lost to Italy on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
