About the player
Jennie Immethun's route to the professional game did not run through a single, well-marked academy pipeline. She started out in the youth ranks of San Jose Earthquakes and FC Bay Area before college football took her through three different programmes in as many years — a season at Loyola Marymount in 2022, two at TCU, and a final year at UCLA in 2025.
The clearest marker of her college career came at TCU, where she helped the team win the Big 12 conference championship in 2024 and was named to the conference's second all-star team. At UCLA the following season she became the team's leader in minutes played and was recognised as a Second Team All-American.
Immethun turned professional in 2026, joining Portland Thorns FC as a non-roster invitee during pre-season before signing her first professional contract with the club. She did not stay in Portland long. On 31 July 2026 she moved to Angel City FC as a free agent, signing a short-term deal running to 6 September 2026 and taking the number 40 shirt.
Internationally, she has not yet featured for the senior United States team, though she took part in U.S. Soccer youth camps in 2020 and 2021.
