About the player
Jesper Zwart came through SV Koedijk before joining AZ Alkmaar's academy in 2017, where he spent eight years working through the youth ranks. With AZ's under-19 side he played in the UEFA Youth League, including a fixture against Benfica's youth team.
He moved into Jong AZ, the club's reserve side, in July 2025. Across the 2025/2026 Eerste Divisie campaign he made 31 appearances, picking up a single yellow card along the way in a match against Willem II. By August 2026 he had already added three more appearances in the new season.
That form earned him a step up to AZ Alkmaar's first team in November 2025, where he made one appearance before the season was out.
Zwart's only representative honour so far dates back to 2021, when he was named in the Netherlands under-16 preliminary squad. He plays as a right-footed defender.
