Jonathan Villagra

Jonathan Villagra came through the youth ranks at Cobreloa before joining Unión Española, where he made his first-team debut in 2020 and went on to make 89 league appearances, scoring three goals. That run of games established him as a regular starter and set up his move to Colo-Colo in August 2024, initially on loan with a purchase option, a deal reported to be worth 250,000 dollars for 70% of his rights. He made the switch permanent in 2025.

The transfer paid off quickly. In his first season at Colo-Colo, Villagra won the Chilean league title and the Supercopa de Chile, adding senior silverware to a career that had so far been built on steady progress rather than headline moments.

He has also featured for Chile at youth and senior level. Villagra was part of the Chile under-23 side that took silver at the 2023 Pan American Games, and later that year he received his first call-up to the senior national team for a match against Ecuador, though he did not take the field.
