Felipe Foundes

The debut came on 14 September 2024, away to Coquimbo Unido, in a game that finished 1-1. Felipe Faúndez was 18. A month later, on 16 October, he signed his first professional contract with O'Higgins.

He had reached the club by the long route through Chilean youth football, playing first for Academia Diego Vásquez and then for El Esfuerzo before joining the O'Higgins youth structure. Rengo, where he was born, is a short distance from the club's home in the O'Higgins Region. No transfer fee has ever been attached to his name, because there has been no transfer.

Full name Felipe Andrés Faúndez González, he plays on the right. By the middle of 2026 he had made 41 first-team appearances and scored one goal.

The record is otherwise plain. No titles have come his way during his time in the first team, and no individual awards. His surname is a common source of error in foreign coverage, where it has appeared in several mangled forms; the correct spelling, the one used by the club, carries the accent: Faúndez.
