Juan Pablo Cázares

Juan Pablo Cázares made his first-team debut for Querétaro on 5 March 2026, coming on in the 85th minute of a Liga MX fixture against Monterrey that the home side lost 4-0.

He spent four years, from 2020 to 2024, in León's youth setup, working through the under-17 and under-19 age groups before leaving as a free agent to join Querétaro in July 2024.

By June 2026 he had featured in nine league matches without scoring, in short substitute spells: 45 minutes against Puebla, 34 against Cruz Azul, two against Mazatlán and 59 against América, adding up to 140 minutes across the calendar year. He has yet to be shown a yellow or red card.

One outing stood out for a different reason. In a 1-1 draw with Juárez, Cázares put in six crosses and five corners, a workload that made him one of Querétaro's main outlets from set pieces despite his otherwise limited minutes.

In the Mexican press he has picked up the nickname "El Semilla" — the seed — a reference to his background as an academy product rather than to anything won on the pitch. No major trophies or serious injuries feature in his record so far.
