About the player
Julian Bock joined Stuttgart II's goalkeeping ranks by a route that ran through Switzerland rather than straight up the German pyramid. Born in Munich, he spent his early youth years at FC Ingolstadt 04 before moving abroad on a free transfer to join FC Luzern in the summer of 2024.
The switch to Switzerland gave Bock two seasons under contract at Luzern, a spell that ended when he left on a free transfer to sign for VfB Stuttgart's second team.
He has not featured for Germany at any youth or senior level, with no individual awards or team titles to his name yet. His nationality has occasionally been misreported as Swiss, though German outlets, EA Sports FC 27 and Luzern's own club channels have all listed him as German throughout.
At Stuttgart II, Bock now finds himself back in the country of his football education.
