About the player
Junior Zé's name is tied to two knockout finals that came down to a single moment. In the 2025 Swiss Cup final against Étoile Carouge, the midfielder scored the winning goal in the 97th minute of extra time. A year of high points followed: with FC Basel he had already won the Swiss Super League in the 2024–25 season, and after a loan move he added the Danish Cup with FC Midtjylland in 2025–26.
Born in Zürich to Cameroonian heritage, Junior Zé came through the Grasshoppers and Basel youth ranks before joining Basel's first team in July 2023. He returned to Basel afterwards, then completed a permanent move to Eintracht Braunschweig in July 2026, signing a contract that runs until 2029.
At youth international level he has been a regular for Switzerland, progressing from the under-16s through to the under-21s, scoring goals along the way at under-16 and under-17 level in particular. He has not yet been capped by the senior national team.
