About the player
Lilian Egloff made his senior debut for VfB Stuttgart in February 2020, in the DFB-Pokal against Bayer Leverkusen, having come through the club's academy after joining from TSG Bretzfeld-Rappach. He went on to extend his contract with Stuttgart and made 21 Bundesliga appearances for the club, alongside two DFB-Pokal outings, without finding the net at senior level in the top flight. He was a more regular scorer for the second team, netting twice in 23 Regionalliga appearances for VfB Stuttgart II.
His contract with Stuttgart expired in the summer of 2024, and he joined Karlsruher SC on a free transfer in September that year. Sport director Sebastian Freis described the signing as bringing in a "highly talented attacking player" to the club. The move has paid off in front of goal: at Karlsruher, Egloff has scored six times in 29 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga.
Egloff also has a brief history at international youth level, having earned a single cap for Germany's under-15 side in 2017, in which he scored a goal.
