Lucas Nahuel González Martínez

Lucas Nahuel González Martínez was handed a debut for Independiente in a Copa Sudamericana tie against Ecuador's Universidad Católica in July 2019, a match Independiente won 1-0. He stayed at the Avellaneda club for six years, going on to make more than 120 appearances and score six goals across all competitions.

In 2023 he spent a season on loan in Mexico with Santos Laguna, featuring 14 times and scoring once, before returning to Independiente.

He left Independiente for Defensa y Justicia in January 2025, then moved on again barely a year later, joining Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero on loan at the start of 2026.

At international level, González was called into Argentina's under-23 squad, named in the group for friendlies against Japan in March 2021, and mentioned again around a call-up later that year. He has not featured for the senior national team, and his career to date carries no team titles or individual honours.
