Leonardo Marchi

Leonardo Marchi has twice finished on a title-winning side. Years later, with Central Córdoba, he went the whole way to a Copa Argentina final and watched the win over Vélez Sarsfield from the bench.

Marchi came through the Gimnasia y Esgrima academy in his native La Plata before moving into the Defensa y Justicia set-up, where he spent several seasons with the reserve team. The loan spell that brought Arsenal de Sarandí's title became a permanent move in August 2020, and a further loan followed in 2021, at Club Atlético Mitre, where he made three appearances in the Primera Nacional.

In September 2023 he left Argentina for Greek club Giouchtas F.C. He played nine matches there and scored once, in the Greek Cup, before returning home in January 2024 to sign for Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero as a free agent.

At Central Córdoba, Marchi has worn the number 3 shirt and made around fifteen league appearances across the following seasons without scoring, picking up four yellow cards along the way. The Copa Argentina run remains the high point of his time at the club, even if the final itself passed him by from the bench.
