Leandro Lescano

Leandro Lescano waited a long time for the moment that finally came on 23 February 2025. With Huracán facing San Lorenzo in the Liga Profesional, he was sent on in the 42nd minute to replace César Ibáñez — his first appearance for the senior side, in a match Huracán won 2–0.

The route there began elsewhere. Lescano came through the youth ranks at Boca Juniors before joining Huracán's academy, then worked his way up through the reserve set-up, Huracán 2, to the first-team squad. The club put him on professional terms on 29 November 2023, more than a year before that debut against San Lorenzo. His current deal runs to 31 December 2028.

There are, as yet, no senior caps for Argentina on his record, and no youth international appearances either. No individual honours, no team titles. What the record does show is a player developed almost entirely in-house: recruited young, kept through the reserve years, signed to a long contract before he had played a competitive minute for the senior team.
