Lucas Ribeiro

Lucas Ribeiro's move to Goiás in 2024 was not supposed to be permanent. Ceará had loaned him out because he had fallen outside Wagner Mancini's plans, but the arrangement was converted into a full transfer and he reached 100 appearances for the club in July 2026.

Born in Salvador, Ribeiro came through the ranks at Vitória and made his Série A debut there in 2018 before Hoffenheim signed him the following January. He was loaned out, first at Internacional in 2020-21 and then at Ceará, who eventually bought his rights outright in 2023.

In the 2025 Série B season he was named to the round's team of the week by fan vote after the eighth matchday.

That campaign was interrupted in August 2025 by a serious injury: a collision with a teammate left him with a fractured frontal bone that required surgery. He recovered to return to the side. Interest from clubs in Japan, Vietnam and China surfaced in 2025 and 2026, though none of the moves materialised.

Internationally, Ribeiro's involvement has stayed at youth level. He was part of Brazil's under-20 squad named for the 2019 South American Championship and featured in friendlies against Chile the previous year, but a call-up to the senior national team has not followed.
