About the player
Twenty-three goals in the 2017–18 season made Milan Pavkov the second-highest scorer in the league — and he did it on loan at Radnički Niš. Red Star Belgrade had bought him for €300,000 in January 2017 and sent him straight back to Niš for the campaign.
Pavkov came up at Novi Sad, spent time on loan at Mladost Bački Petrovac, then found his scoring form at ČSK Čelarevo, where 18 goals made him the top scorer in the Serbian League Vojvodina in 2014–15. A move to Vojvodina followed in 2015, but it did not hold: his contract was terminated in June 2016. He joined Radnički Niš the following month.
His single appearance for Serbia came on 20 March 2019, a friendly against Germany. Pavkov came on as a substitute and was sent off with a straight red card in the 90th minute.
In August 2022 he left Serbia for Al-Fayha in Saudi Arabia. The move brought 26 appearances and one goal, and the two sides parted by mutual consent in 2024 after his playing time dried up. He returned to Serbia the same year as a free agent, signing for Čukarički.
