Marcinho

Marcinho began at his hometown club before a loan to Osasco Sporting and a brief spell at Brasil de Pelotas. In 2019 he took his football abroad, joining Manama in Bahrain, where he featured in both the domestic league and the AFC Cup before returning to Brazil the following year.

Back home, the transfers kept coming: Sampaio Corrêa, where he won the Maranhão state title, then Cruzeiro, Novorizontino, Guarani and Criciúma, with whom he lifted the Santa Catarina championship in 2023. A loan spell took him back to Sampaio Corrêa before a move to Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr, where his time on the pitch was limited to two league appearances. He returned to Brazil in 2024 with CSA, adding a Copa Alagoas to his collection of regional honours, then passed through Joinville and Chapecoense, the latter club giving him his most sustained recent run of matches in Serie B.

Marcinho joined Paysandu as a free agent in January 2026, and the armband followed soon after. Speaking to Globo Esporte, he called for greater collective improvement as the club looked to react in Serie C. Across competitions in his first season in Belém, he has featured in the state championship, the Copa Verde and the Copa do Brasil as well as the league.
