About the player
One appearance, one goal. Brought on in the 78th minute of a World Cup qualifier against Moldova in March 2021, he needed eleven minutes to score.
Before any of that, Ingvartsen was a goalkeeper. He switched to attack, and by 2016/17 had become the Danish Superliga's top scorer with 23 goals, a season that also brought him the league's Young Player of the Year award and two Player of the Month prizes.
That form took him to KRC Genk in the summer of 2017, where he won the Belgian title in 2018/19 and reached a Belgian Cup final the year before, though his league scoring dropped to five goals in 30 games. A move to 1. FC Union Berlin followed in 2019, then a loan to Mainz 05 that turned into a permanent transfer — six goals in the Bundesliga in that loan season alone, and 16 in total for the club. Nordsjælland brought him back to Denmark in 2023, and he responded with nine league goals plus six more in Europe the following season.
At youth level, Ingvartsen remains Denmark's record scorer for the under-21 side, with 17 goals in 28 appearances.
