About the player
Vojvodina paid €400,000 for Marko Veličković on 3 June 2024 and tied him to a four-year contract.
He came through at FK Real Niš in his home city, staying until 2020, then joined the FK Mladost Lučani academy in the winter of 2021. The step up came in the summer of 2023. Across 2022 to 2024 he made 31 appearances for Mladost and scored six goals.
His first season in Novi Sad ended in the Serbian Cup final. Vojvodina lost 0–3 to Red Star Belgrade on 21 May 2025, and Veličković came on at the start of the second half. He had no part in the previous year's final — he was still at Mladost when Vojvodina lost that one too.
The recognition has come individually rather than collectively. In the 2025–26 season he was named Serbian SuperLiga Player of the Week for Round 26. He has yet to win a major team title.
