Martin Maldonado

Martín Maldonado is a left-footed midfielder who came through Club Guaraní's own academy system, joining the club's under-20 side in 2025 before stepping up to the first team early the following year. Born in Luque, he wears the number 34 shirt in Asunción.

The move from youth football to senior duty came quickly. Within his first year in Guaraní's academy setup, Maldonado had already progressed to the club's main squad, a fast track that says more about the pathway the club has built for him than about any long apprenticeship in the lower categories. There is little on record about clubs or academies before Guaraní, suggesting his footballing education has, so far, been a one-club story.

That progress was enough to earn international recognition. Maldonado has been capped once by the Paraguay national team, an appearance in which he did not find the scoresheet.
