Diego Agustín Fernández Servín

Diego Fernández Servín came through the youth ranks at Sportivo Luqueño, working his way from the Sub-15 category to a first-team debut with the club at eighteen. That academy grounding shaped the winger who now plays for Guaraní on loan from Olimpia.

His most notable move abroad came in 2021, when Sportivo Luqueño sent him on loan to Vasco da Gama in Brazil for a season. He returned to Luqueño afterwards and stayed until July 2024, when Olimpia bought a fifty per cent stake in his rights. FIFA sanctions barred Olimpia from registering new players at the time, so the club loaned him straight out to Tacuary for the Clausura campaign instead of bringing him in directly — an unusual detour for a transfer that was supposed to bring him to the Paraguayan giants.

Fernández joined Guaraní on loan from Olimpia in 2025, with the move reportedly valued at €680,000. He has since scored in the Copa Sudamericana, netting against Nacional Potosí. At youth international level, he has one appearance for Paraguay's under-18 side, from 2019.

Across his career to date he has featured in 76 matches and scored six goals, a return built up gradually across spells in Paraguay and Brazil rather than in one settled post.
