Matej Marković

Matej Marković has spent most of his career moving between leagues. His path began in the academy of Tekstil Ravnanica and continued through spells with NK Zagreb and NK Rudeš in Croatia, where the biggest domestic success came in the 2016/17 season, when Rudeš won the Croatian First Division title with Marković between the posts. He later returned to the club for a second stint and wore the captain's armband, appearing 24 times in the Croatian top flight.

Between those two Rudeš spells, his career took him through Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovakia, Greece and Bulgaria. At FK Sarajevo he won the Bosnian Premijer Liga in the 2019/20 season, and at APO Levadiakos in Greece he collected another winner's medal, in the Super League 2, in 2021/22. A season at Slovakia's MFK Zemplín Michalovce added 25 league appearances to his résumé without silverware.

His most recent stop before Finland came at Bulgaria's PFC Levski Sofia, where he made 23 appearances and kept nine clean sheets before the two sides ended the contract by mutual agreement. A brief return to Croatian football with HNK Vukovar 1991 followed, before he signed for HJK Helsinki as a free agent in February 2026.

At HJK, Marković has found regular football, making 22 appearances across the Veikkausliiga and UEFA Conference League qualifiers, conceding 15 goals and keeping seven clean sheets.
