About the player
Nicolas came through Athletico Paranaense's academy, joining the youth ranks in 2012 and working his way into the first team by 2016. He stayed on the club's books for the best part of seven years, though loans took him around the country more often than the shirt itself did — Ponte Preta, then a longer spell at Atlético Goianiense.
A loan to Grêmio in 2022 produced his best run of consistent football, with 36 appearances and a Campeonato Gaúcho title added to his collection. That form led to a permanent move to América Mineiro in January 2023.
A loan to Ceará in 2025 gave him another trophy, the Campeonato Cearense, before his América Mineiro contract ran out. He signed for Goiás as a free agent in January 2026, taking the number 6 shirt and stepping straight into the left-back role. He has not needed long to make himself at home there: by the middle of the year he had already added a Campeonato Goiano title with the club.
