About the player
Martynyuk's route to the top flight ran through the amateur leagues of his own region. He joined the academy of БРВ-ВІК in Volodymyr-Volynskyi in 2014 and stayed four years, and in the 2017/18 season he was already turning out for the club's senior side in the Volyn regional championship.
The move to Волинь in Lutsk followed in 2019. He started in the youth team, and from the 2019/20 season was pulled into the first-team squad. His competitive debut came on 27 August 2019 in the Ukrainian Cup; the league debut waited until 25 June 2020. In all he played 38 matches for Волинь, with a further seven in the Second League on a 2020 spell at the farm club Волинь-2 .
On 22 June 2025 he signed a three-year contract, with an option to extend, at Металіст 1925 in Kharkiv.
Alongside the club football, Martynyuk has played 10 matches and scored once for Ukraine's Olympic team at under-23 level.
