About the player
Oleksandr Yatsyk made his first appearance for Dynamo Kyiv's senior side in the Champions League, against Benfica, on 23 August 2022, having joined the club's academy in 2019. In the 2022/23 season he made two appearances in official competition and scored three goals.
Dynamo then sent him on loan to Zorya Luhansk in July 2023. He stayed for two seasons, making 47 appearances and scoring eight goals, before returning to Dynamo in the summer of 2025.
Back at Dynamo for 2025/26, Yatsyk played 27 matches and scored three goals as the club won the Ukrainian Cup. In June 2026 he moved to FC Kharkiv — the club formerly known as Metalist 1925 — in a deal reported at around €3m on a four-year contract. The transfer was driven by Kharkiv's new coach, Mladen Bartulović, with whom Yatsyk had built a good relationship.
Yatsyk has not played for Ukraine's senior team. At under-21 level, he made ten appearances and scored once.
