About the player
Pablo Ruan Messias Cardoso spent the early part of his career inside the academy system of Brazilian football, passing through the youth ranks at Flamengo, Palmeiras and Atlético Mineiro without ever making a first-team appearance for any of them. The breakthrough, when it came, arrived away from the country's biggest clubs: a move to Portuguesa Londrinense in 2023 led to a switch to Londrina, where he made his professional debut in the Brazilian second division that November.
In July 2025, Cardoso moved to Portugal to join Nacional as a free agent, signing a contract running to 2030. He did not feature for the Madeira club in the 2024/25 campaign, remaining registered with Londrina until the move was completed. Since then he has been introduced gradually into Nacional's Primeira Liga squad and has yet to register a goal or an assist in Portuguese football.
