Pedro Guilherme Abreu dos Santos

Pedro came through Flamengo's own academy before the club let him go, a decision it would later reverse. He built his name at Fluminense, where a run of 31 goals in 93 appearances made the switch to Fiorentina look like the natural next step. Italy did not work out — four matches, no goals — and within a year he was back in Brazil, joining Flamengo on loan.

That return proved decisive. Twenty-three goals in 54 matches on loan turned into a permanent deal, and Pedro has worn the number 9 shirt ever since. The high point came in the 2022 Copa Libertadores, where he finished as both the tournament's top scorer, with twelve goals, and its best player, helping Flamengo lift the trophy. He was named South American Footballer of the Year that same season.

Since establishing himself at Flamengo, Pedro has stayed the club's central attacking reference, passing 270 appearances and 140 goals for the shirt. Domestic honours have followed in steady supply: the Brazilian championship, the Copa do Brasil twice, the Rio de Janeiro state title on three occasions, and further continental silverware with the Recopa Sudamericana. In 2024 he topped the scoring charts in the Campeonato Carioca and finished as the second-highest scorer in the Brazilian league, a reminder that the Libertadores campaign was not an isolated peak but part of a longer run of end product in front of goal.
