About the player
Batman Petrolspor did not build Polat Yaldır — Samsunspor did, taking him through the academy from 2019 and into the first team by 2021. He was still on the club's books when Samsunspor won the 1. Lig title in the 2022/23 season. He was loaned to Arnavutköy Belediyespor in 2023, then had a longer spell at Karaman FK. Over 35 appearances there he scored nine goals and set up 14 more.
He moved on to Batman Petrolspor, where he has signed a contract running to 30 June 2029. The goal came on as a substitute against Sarıyer on 23 August 2026, a 2-1 win settled by his intervention off the bench.
Yaldır has represented Turkey at youth level, with nine caps and two goals for the under-19s, including one scored against Romania, followed by five appearances for the under-21s without finding the net. Polat Yaldır is right-footed and was born in Aksaray.
