About the player
His time at the top level proved brief: he made two appearances in the Liga Portugal squad during the 2023/2024 campaign without scoring, and the following season he remained on the club's books without registering further first-team minutes in available records.
Sousa moved to Vianense for 2025/2026, playing in the Portuguese national championship's Group A. There he found regular football, appearing in 21 matches and contributing a goal and two assists before his contract expired at the end of June 2025, leaving him a free agent.
His move to Bulgaria followed that summer, when Spartak Varna brought him in ahead of the 2026/2027 season. He has made an immediate mark in the First League, including a goal against local rivals Cherno More.
