About the player
Ronaldo Deaconu's career has been a tour of Romania's second and top divisions with detours abroad. He started out at ASA Târgu Mureș before a move to Concordia Chiajna, scoring three times in two seasons. A short stint in Croatia with HNK Gorica followed, then a return home to Sepsi OSK.
Deaconu played at Gaz Metan Mediaș, where over two seasons he scored twelve goals. That form took him to China, to Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic, where he scored twice in six matches, before he moved on again to Poland's Korona Kielce.
Since 2024 the pace of change has quickened. Deaconu has passed through Farul Constanța, Hermannstadt, Hungary's Nyíregyháza and Unirea Slobozia in the space of a couple of seasons, before joining Corvinul Hunedoara.
