Sinan Karweina

Ten goals in 27 Austrian Bundesliga appearances for Austria Klagenfurt in 2023/24 are the numbers Sinan Karweina carried into the summer of 2024, when he signed for FC Luzern in Switzerland. As with every senior move he has made, the transfer cost no fee.

His route there began at FV Wiehl, where he played in the youth teams until 2014. He then joined the 1. FC Köln academy and stayed until 2018. His first senior football came with the club's second team in 2017–18.

From there he moved from club to club, each time as a free agent. Sportfreunde Lotte had him for 2018–19, MSV Duisburg for the next two seasons, and Türkgücü München for 2021–22. Klagenfurt signed him in 2022. He spent two seasons in Austria, and the Bundesliga campaign of 2023/24 was the one in which he reached double figures.

Karweina is registered as a forward and is sometimes listed on the left wing. Luzern was his base from 2024 until 2026. In July 2026 he returned to Germany, joining SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the 3. Liga.

He has no senior caps for Germany or Turkey and has not won a major trophy. His career has been built one contract at a time, and every one of those contracts began with a free transfer.
