Santino Aguirre

The goal that stands out came in a final. Playing for Racing Club's reserve side, Santino Aguirre scored the winner as Racing beat River Plate 2–1 to lift the Torneo Proyección 2026 Apertura, the Argentine reserve league title. That run through the youth ranks also brought a Copa LPF Proyección Inicial title along the way, and across 19 appearances for the Reserva he found the net once — the winner in the final being the one that mattered.

Aguirre came up through Racing's academy from the club's youngest categories, moving through Baby football and the Juveniles before settling into the Reserva set-up in 2025. He was handed the step up to the first team on 30 June 2026, still only 19. His senior debut followed on 9 August 2026, away to Argentinos Juniors in Primera División, when he was sent on in the 37th minute. Racing lost the match 2–1, a low-key start against the backdrop of the title he had just won with the reserves.

Born in Avellaneda, Aguirre plays as a midfielder, stands 1.86m tall and is right-footed. He wears number 37 for Racing Club.
