Matko Mijael Miljevic

Miami produced few footballers who ended up wearing the shirts Matko Miljevic has worn. He left for Argentina as a boy, joining Boca Juniors briefly before settling into the Argentinos Juniors academy in 2011 and working through the ranks until his first-team debut in 2018, when he scored once in six appearances.

The move to CF Montréal in August 2021 took him back across the Americas on a three-and-a-half-year deal, and he made himself a regular there, appearing 35 times and scoring twice. That spell ended abruptly in September 2023, when the club terminated his contract over conduct it judged harmful to the league.

He returned to Argentine football with Newell's Old Boys before a move to Huracán, initially on a fifty per cent share of his rights; the club exercised the option on the remaining half in October 2025. At Huracán he found his best form in South America, playing 34 matches and scoring seven goals.

The United States called him up long before any of that settled into a senior cap. He passed through the US under-16s, then, reflecting his development in Argentina, turned out for Argentina's under-20 and under-18 sides before returning to a US under-20 shirt. The senior debut came on 18 January 2025 against Venezuela, and he marked it with a goal in the 64th minute of a 3-1 win. A second cap followed against Costa Rica.

Racing Club is his latest move, arriving with a scoring record built mostly in spells away from the biggest stages, and with a first international goal already behind him.
