Tiziano Correa

Tiziano Correa was born in Madrid, a detail his career has never quite shaken off — his father is Fernando Correa, a former Uruguay international, and the son's path led back to Uruguayan football all the same. He came through the youth ranks at River Plate in Montevideo, and his first-team debut arrived in October 2023. Five months later, in March 2024, a serious cruciate ligament injury interrupted his progress just as it was getting under way.

He returned to football on loan at Cerro Largo, a spell that ran from 2024 into 2026. It was there, in the 2026 season, that Correa found his scoring form, netting five goals in 19 league appearances, with two further outings in the Uruguayan league cup that yielded no goals. That stretch marked the clearest run of his career so far after the injury layoff.

In July 2026 he moved on to Nacional, who acquired 40% of his rights while he continued on loan, this time from Cerro Largo, in a deal set to run until the end of 2027. He settled quickly into the side, making 24 league appearances in the 2026 season with five goals and an assist — a workload that outstripped his goal return but kept him a regular fixture in the team.

At international level, Correa was capped three times for Uruguay's under-20 side in 2022, without scoring, featuring in a four-team friendly tournament in Maldonado against Brazil and Argentina under coach Marcelo Broli.
