Valmir Sulejmani

The 2018–19 season at SV Waldhof Mannheim is the one that reshaped Valmir Sulejmani's career. Eighteen goals and twelve assists in the Regionalliga Südwest carried the club to the title and promotion to the 3. Liga, and he added the Baden Cup in the same period. Across two seasons at Mannheim he scored 24 goals in 50 appearances. He was the division's second-highest scorer that season, behind Kevin Koffi on 19.

He arrived there on a free transfer in 2018 after five years in Hannover's reserve side, where he had made 90 appearances and scored 13 goals. The step up to the Hannover 96 first team came in 2014, but he managed only 11 games over two seasons, with a loan spell at Union Berlin in January 2015 bringing six more. His youth football began at SC Wedemark before he joined Hannover in 2005.

Mannheim earned him a return to Hannover in 2020, though the second stint produced three goals in 33 games. Three goals in 27 appearances at FC Ingolstadt 04 , then 13 games without a goal at TSV 1860 Munich. A spell back with Hannover's second team in 2025 brought five goals in 14 matches, and he signed for Alemannia Aachen on a free transfer, where he has made 12 appearances.

Born in Großburgwedel, Sulejmani holds German and Kosovar citizenship. He is yet to score for the national side.
