About the player
Volodymyr Salyuk played for Chornomorets and Atletik. He turned professional at Balkany in Ukraine's Second League, where he made 30 appearances and scored twice.
Chornomorets gave him his first taste of top-flight football, and across two seasons he made between 53 and 57 appearances for the club. His first goal at that level came on 2 April 2023, in a 2-2 draw against Shakhtar.
Metalist 1925 signed the defender on 5 August 2024 for a fee of €500,000. He has since made 36 appearances for the Kharkiv club.
Salyuk has also represented Ukraine at youth level, with 17 caps for the under-21 side between 2023 and 2025 and seven appearances for the under-23 team in 2024. He was part of the squad that won the 2024 Toulon Tournament with the under-23s. Across all age groups for the national team, he has 24 caps without a goal.
