Yohán Eduardo Cumaná Hernández

Yohán Cumaná came through the youth ranks and made his first-division debut with Deportivo Anzoátegui in the 2013–14 season, going on to make 64 appearances and score four goals for the club before a move to Deportivo La Guaira in 2017. That stay proved the longest and most productive of his career: over six seasons he made 141 appearances and scored ten goals, establishing himself as a regular left-back. A loan spell at Colombia's Once Caldas in 2023 was brief, limited to three matches without a goal, before he returned to Venezuela.

Cumaná signed for UCV as a free agent on 1 January 2024. The move was followed almost immediately by an injury that kept him out for several months, delaying his start at the club. Once fit, he settled into the side and has made 48 appearances, scoring twice. With UCV he has won the Venezuelan league title and the Venezuelan Cup.

At international level, Cumaná has earned nine caps for Venezuela without scoring. His debut came in a high-profile setting: the opening match of the 2021 Copa América, against Brazil, on 13 June 2021.

A left-footed defender, Cumaná has spent his career primarily at left-back, moving from Anzoátegui's academy through La Guaira's first team and into the national set-up before finding his current home at UCV.
