Youssuf Sylla

Youssuf Sylla's break into senior football came at Jong Essevee, Zulte Waregem's reserve side in Belgium's fourth tier, where in the 2022/23 season he finished as top scorer with 22 goals in 29 matches. He made four appearances for Zulte Waregem's first team, producing no goals.

In August 2023 Sylla joined Royal Charleroi. He featured more regularly there, making 34 appearances and scoring three goals for the first team in 2023/24, with a further three goals in 15 matches for the reserve side, Zébra Élites. In January 2025 he was loaned to Dutch club Willem II for the rest of the season; he made 12 appearances but no goals, and Willem II did not take up the option to sign him permanently.

Sylla's contract at Charleroi expired at the end of the loan, and in August 2025 he joined Jagiellonia as a free agent. The Polish club agreed to hand Charleroi a percentage of any future resale. He signed until June 2028, with the option of a further year. At Jagiellonia he has made six first-team appearances, scoring once, and added two goals in six matches for the reserve side, Jagiellonia II. His most recent recorded match came against Strasbourg in the UEFA Europa Conference League on 23 October 2025, when he came on as a substitute in the 83rd minute and was booked in a game that finished 1-1.

Sylla has represented Belgium at under-21 level, winning 11 caps and scoring once between 2023 and 2024. He was also called up by Guinea's under-23 side ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations U-23, only to be cut from the squad two days before the tournament began. He has not been capped by either country's senior side.
