Allerød Fodbold Klub

The club came out of a merger rather than a founding meeting. On 12 July 1927 several sports associations in the town, among them the short-lived Lillerød Boldklub, combined as Lillerød Idrætsforening. Football sat inside that multi-sport structure until 1953, when the section broke away and began running its own affairs. The Allerød name arrived much later, on 1 January 2004, matching the club to the municipality rather than the village.

Peter Nymann collected three caps for Denmark; Bettina Falk Hansen played for the women's national side; Andreas Pyndt went through the Danish under-16 and under-17 sides.

The name that carries furthest, though, is Peter Løvenkrands.
