Armagh City

The players who turned out in Milford, a small village outside Armagh, in 1964 wore the name Milford Everton, and it stayed with them until 1988, when the move into the city itself brought the switch to Armagh City.

Holm Park has been home since 1993, a ground that holds around 2,000 through a stretch when the club has gone up and down the Northern Irish pyramid more than once. Senior status came in 1999, with entry into Irish League Division One, and by 2004/05 the club had climbed to the top flight. That stay did not last: a failed licence application for the IFA Premiership sent Armagh City back down in 2008/09, and by 2010 a further drop had left them in Championship Two. A return to the first division followed in 2013/14, only for another relegation in 2017 to push the club into the Premier Intermediate League. It took until 2023/24, a second-place finish and a play-off win, to get back into the NIFL Championship for the 2024/25 season.

One trophy has followed the club through most of that up-and-down history: the Bob Radcliffe Cup, won in 1991-92, 2004-05, 2013-14, 2015-16 and 2020-21. The Eagles, as they are known locally, also took the Irish First Division title in 2004-05, the NIFL Championship 2 in 2013-14 and the Mid-Ulster Cup in 2000-01, playing in blue and black.

Across the county, Loughgall FC remain the fixture that matters most, a rivalry both sides call a derby whenever the draw brings them together.
