Brandýs nad Labem

Brandýs nad Labem currently sit in the Division, the fourth tier of Czech football.

The team was founded as SK Brandýs n.L. on 23 May 1901 and played its first match that August.

Its best football came at the end of the 1980s: the Second National League in 1988/89. After the split of Czechoslovakia, Brandýs finished fifth in the Czech second tier twice running, in 1990/91 and 1991/92.

The climb back started with a regional cup, the Pohár SKFS, won in 2014/15, which opened a route into the qualifying round of the MOL Cup.

Radek Kronďák came through the side, then playing as SK Alfa, between 1993 and 1997 before his move to Teplice. Marko Matějovský, a former Czech international who played for Sparta Praha, has run children's football camps in the town.

Home matches are played at Na Spořilově, which holds 2,000, with 160 seats among them; the team plays in black and white and is known locally as Brandejs.
