Cordino

The Estádio Leandro Cláudio da Silva holds 1,400 people and is known in Barra do Corda as the "Leandrão". It is the home of a club that began as the town's municipal selection team, which had been entered in a regional tournament, the Copão Maranhão do Sul, before it became Cordino Esporte Clube on 8 March 2010.

The club is nicknamed the "Onça" (jaguar), after the Onça de Barra do Corda, although its mascot is a hawk, the Gavião. Its colours are green, black and yellow.

Cordino won the Campeonato Maranhense second division in its founding year, 2010, and won it again in 2021. The 2017 season was its first at the top of the state game.

In 2022 Cordino reached another final under Marcinho Guerreiro, having won the second turn. Ulisses was a leading figure in that campaign as top scorer. Both finals, in 2017 and 2022, went to Sampaio Corrêa.

Cordino's main rival is Tuntum Esporte Clube. The fixture is called simply "Tuntum x Cordino", and no traditional derby name has attached itself to it.
