Croydon Kings

Adelaide's post-war migrant suburbs built their own football, and Croydon Park built a club. Polish arrivals in the city set up the Polonia Adelaide Sports Club on 16 June 1950, with Alek Cmielewski and Karol Metanomski among the founders. The red and white came with them, and so did the name, which lasted until 1993, when a league rule barred ethnic identifiers from club titles and Polonia became Croydon Kings. The club now trades as Croydon FC.

Then a long gap, closed in 2014: a 2–1 win over MetroStars in the NPL South Australia Grand Final, and a second championship three years later.

Antoni Trimboli followed a different road, through Adelaide United to Perugia.

Polonia Reserve, the home ground in Croydon Park, held 2,000 and held the club's whole history until late 2022, when Croydon moved to the Regency Park Complex a few kilometres north. The capacity is the same. The address is not, and for a club named after the suburb it left, that is the awkward part of the present tense.

In the NPL, the target is a third championship and the first since 2017.
