Fluminense de Feira U20

Feira de Santana sits inland from Salvador, and for most of Bahian football history that geography was the whole argument: the titles stayed on the coast. Fluminense de Feira broke it twice, in 1963 and 1969, and remains the only side from the interior of the state to have taken the Campeonato Baiano more than once. Six other seasons ended as runners-up — 1956, 1968, 1971, 1990, 1991, 2002 — which is a long way of saying the club has spent decades close to the coast sides without often getting past them.

The ground opened in 1953 as the Estádio Municipal Almachio Boaventura and was renamed in 1966 for Alberto Oliveira, a councilman who had also served as club president. Nobody in Feira de Santana calls it either name; it is the Joia da Princesa, and it holds 16,274.

For years the club's export line ran through one position. Luiz Alberto, Edinho, Ubaldo Oliveira and Edmilson Pombinho all came out of Feira de Santana as right-backs and moved on to bigger Bahian and national clubs — enough of them, over enough time, that the club acquired a reputation as a factory for the position. Obina came later and went to Flamengo and Palmeiras.

The under-20 side carries the same green, maroon and white and the same fixture list of grudges, chief among them the Clássico Feirense against Bahia de Feira. It reached the Campeonato Baiano Sub-20 final in 2026 and lost to Bahia, who have been taking the title in consecutive years. The senior team won promotion from the state second division in the same season.

The club dates from 1 January 1941 and turned professional in 1954, a year after the stadium it still uses was built.
