Vitória U20

The best run for Vitória's under-20 side still traces back to 2012, when it lifted the Copa do Brasil Sub-20. Two years later the same competition let the title slip in the final, and in 2015 the Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-20 went the same way, runners-up again.

Domestically the record reads differently. The Campeonato Baiano Sub-20 has been won twice, in 1998 and 2013, with three further finals lost since — 2016, 2018 and 2026 — a pattern of reaching the last stage of the state championship more often than winning it.

What sets the category apart is who passed through it before any of those finals were played. Hulk and David Luiz both came up through the Barradão academy before moving into the Brazilian and European game.

Founded in 1899 in Salvador, Vitória plays in red and black and carries the nickname Leão da Barra.

The most recent line in the record is a runner-up finish in the 2026 Campeonato Baiano Sub-20, the category's latest attempt to turn a final appearance into a title.
