Fyllingen Basket

Since August 2024 the Bergen side has played under the Lions name in the European North Basketball League.

None of that was part of the plan when Vestkanten Basketballklubb was formed on 20 May 1998 as a recruitment outfit for western Bergen, under the Hordaland Basketball Federation. The senior men's side only took the Fyllingen name in the 2003/04 season, and it stayed a domestic name for two decades before the double of Norwegian Championship and King's Cup wins pushed the club to professionalise and rebrand.

Head coach Calix Black Ndiaye has overseen both title runs, built around a core that includes Terrell Brown, Isaac Likekele and Eric Fongué alongside Davis. Bergen's other side, Gimle Basket, remains the fixture people circle on the calendar — a local match with no official derby name, just the two clubs and the city between them.

Home games are played at Fyllingsdalshallen, in the Fyllingsdalen district that gave the club its name back when it was still finding one.
