Guangxi Hengchen

That climb began with a company registered in Nanning on 18 March 2021: an independent side with its own investor and its own management, rather than a feeder arrangement for a bigger structure. The first season was spent in regional amateur football. Second place in the Guangxi Champions League in 2022 opened the door to the Chinese Members Clubs League, and in 2023 the club won the play-offs there — both the semi-final against Xi'an Chongde Ronghai and the tie with Rizhao Yuqi went to penalties.
Promotion to China League Two followed. Two seasons later, in 2025, Guangxi Hengchen won that division ahead of Wuxi Wugou.
Home matches are played at the Wuhe campus ground of the Nanning Sports School. For the games that decided the 2025 title the club moved to the Guangxi Sports Centre Stadium, which holds around 60,000.
The squad has drawn players from a spread of places: the Georgian midfielder Rati Ardazishvili, the Madagascar forward Loïc Lapoussin, Noel Mbo of DR Congo, and the goalkeeper Zhang Jianzhi on loan from Beijing Guoan.
The meetings with Guangxi Lanhang are known locally as the Guangxi derby.
