The reserve side only took the field for the 2026–27 season. Héroes de Zaci F.C. itself was set up in Valladolid, Yucatán, in April 2015.
The first team took the Tercera División de México in 2018–19, beating Atlético San Francisco, and did it again in 2024–25 against Guerreros de Autlán, earning promotion both times. A match-fixing scandal in 2026 pushed the club out of its own city for safety, with home fixtures shifted to Mexican Football Federation facilities in Toluca.
The B side plays its own games at the Unidad Deportiva Benito Juárez, a 5,000-capacity ground in Nuevo Laredo, in burgundy and white.
