The club carries the name of a cricket city half a world from Darwin, but nothing ties it to that city's President's Trophy sides or to the four Top End T20 editions played before it — this was a debut, not a return.
The squad Hammad Azam led drew from three countries beyond Australia: wicketkeeper Shayan Jahangir, Sri Lankan batsman Shehan Jayasuriya, and New Zealand all-rounder Scott Kuggeleijn, alongside Pakistani all-rounders Umer Khan and Usama Mir.
Without a home ground of its own, the club split its fixtures between Marrara Cricket Ground, known also as DXC Arena and the tournament's principal venue, and Gardens Oval. Season 4 ran from 21 to 30 August, ten days in which Hyderabad Kingsmen Academy won three matches and lost three, finishing sixth in the points table and short of the semi-finals. No titles sit behind that record yet — the club's history so far is this one campaign.
